Pickling & Preserving with Chef Matthew Lanes

Seminary Hill brings you authentic Catskills heritage all year, but this summer, we invite you to experience rural life hands-on at our working orchard and cidery.

Our July summer workshop will focus on mastering the basics of home pickling through hands-on demos, including spicy green beans, radishes, daikon, sour brines, and a fruit vinegar infusion. Guests leave with a jar of pickles.

The Tasting Room is open from 10 AM until 9 PM on Saturday. After the workshop, we invite you to join us for early evening drinks, dinner, and s'mores by the fire pit. Reserve your table on Resy.

Tickets are $45 and include the one hour workshop, a glass or cider or a cocktail, and a jar of pickles.
